This morning a beach-goer discovered part of a limb washed up on east beach and notified authorities.
The limb was identified as a hand.
No new inquest docket was opened as the investigation will form part of the inquest regarding the limb that was found at Shelly beach yesterday.
A family has come forward and identified the takkie on the washed-up foot yesterday, as that of their missing relative, although no missing person docket had been filed.
DNA samples were taken and forensics will investigate before any identification can be conclusive.
