Successful annual bridge drive for Hospice

THE Brenda Lear bridge drive was a great success with 100 players participating in this annual event, many of whom travelled from Grahamstown and Kenton-on-Sea in support of Sunshine Coast Hospice.

We have had rave reviews from many of the players who thoroughly enjoyed the bridge drive, great company, scrumptious food and festive atmosphere of the day. The winners in the non-moving section were Mary McGhie and Trish Versfeld and in the winners of the moving section were Roxie and Jenny Roxburgh.

Thanks to the hard work of all our volunteers in co-ordinating and planning this event as well as the generosity of our sponsors, a total of R14 591 was raised for our Hospice. This includes the raffle prize money, which was donated back to Hospice.

We are incredibly grateful for this much-needed support of our work.
